Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her family consisted of a mother who was an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick is always a fan of performing, dancing and putting on show puppets. When McCormick was six years older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked her whether she would like to enter the show business. The year that followed, she appeared in a second commercial on television for Chatty Cathy's doll. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the youngest daughter of the towheaded trio in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show ran for five years. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick admitted that in the shows fifth season she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams.
